She is kind, friendly and dedicated to her work. Not only was my cakes amazing, but she created wedding favors for me at the last minute. My wedding was a theme wedding: great Gatsby. She design great Gatsby short bread cookies for my wedding guest!!! Everyone loved them. People were asking for more towards the end of the night. Thanks again Phil! I will be using you again very soon!

it was THAT GOOD! (It was the champagne flavor with strawberry filling and traditional buttercream--highly recommend!). And not only did it taste amazing, it was absolutely beautiful too!! I highly recommend Phill! She was simply a pleasure to work with and her cakes are out of this world!!

fine using the picture I sent her. I was VERY detailed in my emails making sure what I ordered was going to be right. Phill ensured me everything was going to be beautiful! I will say Phill was not very good at responding to emails. She even stated she was going to call me back after a call I had with her and she never did...I had to call her. So when I picked up the cake it was not nearly anything like the picture I sent her. The mother-to-be was upset along with the person who was paying for the cake. I called her to let her know how upset they were with the cake and if there was anything she could do. Right off she said "well your not getting your money back". I never even asked or thought of asking for my money back. I really just wanted her to fix it. I was even hoping she could just scrape the cake and make it all white at this point... It was that bad! She was very rude and unprofessional on how she handled this situation. I was in tears when I hung up the phone! Obviously she didn't care much about her customer and making sure we were satisfied. She didn't care when I told her I could not refer her to anyone for the way she handled this. Her response was "that's fine, I know in my heart I did what you asked for". She also told me "well at least your cake will taste good!" I couldn't believe the things she was really saying on the phone. The colors of the cake were way off, she put a decorative boarder on the cake which was never asked for. She put glitter on it which we didn't request...It was a boy baby shower cake. Then during the party a guest asked if there was coconut flakes in the cake and I was very shocked and said I don't know because we didn't order coconut flakes so why there was coconut flake I have not idea. Then she had tried telling me that the cake I wanted the mountains were made out of fondant. At at that point, I had consulted with a few different cake decorators. I showed them the cake she made and a picture what the cake was supposed to look like. I was hoping they could help me figure out how to fix this mess (again the cake was that bad). The cake I ordered was supposed to have mountains on it. Phil told me the mountains in the picture were done with fondant but the cake decorators I consulted with said no that looks to be a thin buttercream for the mountains. The other cake decorators they couldn't believe what the cake looked like and what it was supposed to look like. That is how bad it looked. Someone told me it looked like a Pinterest fail! So in the end, the mother-to-be scraped that cake and at that point it was was it was. I felt terrible!!! I will give Phill credit, her fondant work is good. I did other two cakes for two different parties and other cake I ordered was decorated out of fondant and it looked beautiful. But she was very unprofessional and I would not recommend her because I would feel terrible if this happened to someone on their special day.

wedding cake had three layers; pink champagne, white almond with raspberry filling and chocolate with a mousse filling. I showed Phill the design I wanted from a picture on Pinterest and she made my vision come alive. Everyone at the wedding raved about the cake. Phill made a groom's cake for my husband, a Chipotle burrito, and it turned out better than I ever could have imagined. Ladies and gents... save yourselves some time searching and go with Phill! You won't be disappointed.

es to get the top of the cake as promised (the other option was to get it the day of my wedding and just freeze it) so now my anniversary is tomorrow and no cake. Very disappointed. My cake tasted really good on my wedding day but the decorating wasn’t very good either. I was shown all these pictures and my cake looked nothing like the other cakes she had done that looked so beautiful. Save yourself the trouble and go with another baker.

o to work with us to ask what concoction of flavors we wanted to try. When actually arriving to the tasting, we came almost 45 minutes early because we were from out of town. She was SO accommodating to this and was ready to start our tasting! We tasted the white almond with raspberry as well as the chocolate with chocolate mousse, and it was the best cake my fiance or I had EVER tasted. It was SO AMAZING. She was also SO easy to work with. She was so polite, excited, and considerate. We had experiences where bakers just want to upsell us on goods we don't really want but Phill did not! She wanted to really work with us and make our wedding perfect and exactly what we wanted, and she was not at all turned away by how big our wedding is (450 people). We had such an amazing all-around experience that we cancelled the rest of our tastings and booked her 2 days after our tasting. We are so excited to continue to work with Phill after the amazing experiences we've had. You absolutely cannot go wrong with Phill!

well until about a week before the wedding when there was a minor miscommunication regarding payment method. It really should not have been a big deal and ended up working out just fine, but I received two passive-aggressive and unprofessional calls from Phill in the days leading up to the wedding that made me feel uncomfortable and blamed instead of accommodated, something a stressed-out bride really doesn't need. In addition, when the caked arrived, the visual quality was nothing like what I saw in the photos. The saving grace was that the guests didn't know the difference and the cake still tasted great. From the other reviews on here, it seems like Phill is normally great to work with, so I am disappointed that I did not have the same experience.

of vanilla and chocolate cake with raspberry, fudge and Bavarian fillings. The outer frosting was a mix of Italien and American buttercream which gave it the rich buttercream taste without being heavy. Phill arrived on time and setup the cake beautifully.

lemon. We had a buttercream icing, but some fondant to get the look we were hoping for. The cake was beautiful. Best part - Phil offered to make us a fresh cake for our 1 year anniversary instead of saving the top of our cake in the freezer.

th tasted incredible and after looking at some other cakes she had designed we decided we would choose her. She worked back and forth with us to get the design just how we wanted it, and on the day of the wedding I thought it was just stunning the way it was decorated and the way that she set it up for the display. We got many compliments on how delicious the cake was. Her price was reasonable and a great value for what we got. Phill also will make a fresh cake for us on our first anniversary rather than having to eat a year old freezer burnt cake. My sister did work with her as well to get a beautiful cake made for my bridal shower. We are thankful for the work she put in to make such a special cake for our big day.

when I found Phil I was so excited. Her cakes are the best tasting cakes I have ever had. But what really was special about Phil was her ideas and decorating ability. She took my ideas and created a beautiful fall cake that was simple yet elegant. She created what I described to her. I had a beautiful looking cake and a delicious one too. All of this at a reasonable price. I was very lucky.

sprinkles, it was unique and stood out among a usual wedding cake. We chose two flavors- a more traditional vanilla with raspberry and a banana. Both had "to-die-for" buttercream frosting. Phil specially packaged our one-year anniversary cake in a separate small box and made sure to bake one that would last the best in the freezer. The customer service was outstanding, and we couldn't have asked for anything better .

Very moist, flavorful and not to mention very pretty. we opted for a very simple and whimsical design and Phill delivered them beautifully. we had the Vanilla cake with Raspberry filling and American buttercream selection and we were very sad that we were not able to take back the rest of the cake (only taken the top part... it's the easier to take home and will fit our fridge) home with us since we went directly on our honeymoon the next day. In short, Phill will not disappoint! She has the best testing cake and look. I didn't get to do the shortbread cookie as my favors, but highly recommended! They are one of the best cookies I have eaten (and big too :D).

I had a few crazy requests and she did whatever she could to meet them, or she was honest when she didn't think it would work, instead of going along with me and coming out with a ridiculous looking cake! We ordered a 3-tier cake and 75 cookies and it was right about $500. She was excellent!

and together said "She's the one." That began our journey with Fun in the Oven. We hired her to do our wedding cake, grooms cake, and bridal shower cake. We had a large wedding, about 500 people, and the volume she handled superbly - we even had left overs! When we went to where she runs her business, my parents, fiance and I were able to try any cakes and frosting flavors (and fillings) we wanted. My father didnt want to leave! We went with her white and her almond cakes for the ones we purchased, and probably every filling or frosting combo she had (since we did each layer different). All the cakes are made from scratch and you can tell. We have been receiving comments for months, and everyone we know wants her card. I was just married July 2, 2011 and we already cannot wait to eat our cake next year! She will definitely be turned to for future parties and anniversaries. If you want quality for the price - this is where you go. There truly is NO better cake in Cleveland....nor customer service. Thanks for everything Phill!

e. We were told the cake would be made for 275 and we had 240 at our wedding with no left overs. The top tier was not boxed properly for us to safe either.
